Having established in Malaysia since 2011, SBI Ventures Malaysia Sdn Bhd (“SBIVM”), a wholly-owned subsidiary of SBI Holdings, Inc. (Japanese financial conglomerate listed in Tokyo Stock Exchange: 8473), is a venture capital & private equity firm that focuses on investing into leading technology companies in the ASEAN region. We have proven track record by partnering with Government ministry/ agencies and well-established local public listed company in ASEAN region to invest in technology companies and subsequently contribute to their growth.

  1. Experienced several investment exits via IPO and M&A with multiples spanning from 3.0x to 20x.
  2. Managed to improvised the MOIC of funds under management up to 2.8x.

Mark Lee

OSK-SBI Fund

Over 15 years of experience in private equity/ venture capital, corporate finance and strategy. Last position held was Deputy General Manager of the Innovation division in Berjaya Corporation which managed and invested into retail and technology ventures. He also served as Assistant Vice President of COPE Private Equity.

  1. Completed over 10 investments into technology startups and oil & gas services companies across South East Asia and the United States
  2. Portfolio exits achieved IRR of 30% and 2.8x money multiple

Tan Yeet Chien

Head of Investment

Has a combined experience of more than 10 years in investment banking with RHB IB & Maybank IB covering Malaysia’s conglomerates and PE/VC in Khazanah & MST PE (licensed PEMC)
